One day when I walked down a lonely road
I turned my head to see the way I came
Then through the sky above dark stormclouds strode
And on my soul dark mem'ries fell like rain
Tears blurred my sight as from the darkest shade
Arose the visions of my past's mistakes
That made me wail 'bout debts already paid
And filled my heart with pains and aches
As up to heaven one last glance I cast
The clouds broke up and through them shone your light
Which balanced futures hope 'gainst troubled past
And with truth love and courage eased my fright
Whenever I recall your billiant form
I feel I could walk safely through a storm
